GO2 Health would like to say a big thank you to Dr Maree Colosimo for her presentation and education evening for the staff at GO2 Health on Wednesday the 28th of June 2017. She was wonderfully supported by breast care coordinator Carmel Gamble.
This practitioner training was a great help to our team as we work to support cancer patients through their treatment, and build our relationship with the multidisciplinary medical teams who work so tirelessly. The education around chemotherapy and the opportunity to relay stories, ask questions and reflect on our progress was tremendously useful.
At GO2 Health we pride ourselves in our work to support our care providers and their community teams. The relationship with the Holy Spirit Hospital Northside is strengthening as we provide the community-based support to breast cancer patients in need of Psychology, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture ad Exercise Physiology.
Making the journey through cancer as comfortable as possible is the key to survivorship and Dr Maree is a wonderful contributor and supporter. Carmel’s team of expert breast care nurses provides dedicated clinical and emotional support to patients during this turbulent period in their lives.

Dr Colosimo is the Medical Chair of the Holy Spirit Northside Breast Health Centre.
She specialises in breast cancer with a strong focus on survivorship. She is also currently involved in translational research.
She graduated with Honours from Monash University in 1992. In 1995, she moved to Queensland and commenced specialist training in oncology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr Colosimo has worked as an oncologist at Mater, Royal Brisbane and Women’s, and Princess Alexandra Hospitals in Brisbane and regional Queensland.
Dr Colosimo established her own private practice in 2001. She has a strong clinical background and regularly participates in multidisciplinary breast cancer team meetings in Brisbane.
