Requirements: 

  • Certificate of Registration with APHRA
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Police Check 
  • Immunisation certificate (desirable) 
  • Certificate IIII or VI in training and assessment (advantageous)
  • Fundamental understanding of clinical governance standards 

About the role:

  • Oversee and lead nursing staff and clinical operations to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered.
  • Identify and adopt innovative clinical practice models specialised to the cohort at GO2Health. 
  • Contribute to the development and management of clinical processes, including models of care, clinical pathways and policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Plan, develop and implement a program to support the introduction of nursing students participating in practicum cycles at GO2Health.
  • Identify clinical education needs of the nursing team and plan, develop and implement appropriate educational programs to promote the high-performance team. 
  • Provide direct and indirect care as required and work in collaboration with the broader GO2 Health team to support the provision of safety quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice. 
  • Apply nursing assessment skills and nurse practices in a safe and professional manner that reflects practice standards and guidelines. 
  • Utilise a systematic approach to assess, analyse and propose solutions that arise, in order to resolve issues, within the scope of professional practice. 
  • Undertake projects to support quality improvement of clinical services. 
  • Assist the Nurse Manager with development and coordination of any clinical projects or quality improvement plans. 

We deliver care planning services to veterans and private patients looking to optimize their health. Skills & competencies our nurses possess include.

  • Clinical assistance with minor surgical procedures such as skin excisions, skin grafts, biopsies.
  • Iron infusion procedures. Cannulation certified highly desired. 
  • Health assessment and Care Planning experience highly desired.
  • Treating wounds or injuries, including lesion repair as required
  • Providing emergency first aid treatment for insect or snake bites or allergic reactions.
  • Patient education and information about smoking cessation, reducing alcohol consumption or weight loss.
  • Taking patient specimens and vital signs (pulse, temperatures and blood pressure).
  • Giving catch-up immunisations, vaccinations and other childhood immunisations. 
  • Setting up and managing clinics for specific ailments such as diabetes and asthma or general wellness. 
  • Working closely with many other allied health professionals and specialists
  • Keeping written and / or electronic records and making sure that patient notes are current. Experience with Best Practice and ZOHO highly desired.
