Gregory Salvesen


Professional Background

Gregory has a Master of Social Science (Psychology) from the University of Waikato in New Zealand and over 10 years’ experience as a psychologist.

As a psychologist he has worked in employment, disability assessment and support and for the last few years has been in private practice. The main psychotherapeutic models he uses include; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Gottman Relationship Counselling.

Gregory is experienced in working with trauma related issues including PTSD, mood disorders, substance abuse, and relationships difficulties whether personal or professional.

Gregory is well travelled and has also lived in several parts of the world from Africa the USA and recently Australasia. He has had several career changes on his journey to discovering his passion as a psychologist. Gregory has served in the military, work in retail and hospitality, been a professional musician, worked as a dental technician and has diploma’s in both reflexology and aroma therapy.
