Professional Background

Leanne is physiotherapist who graduate from the University of South Australia with first class honours in 2008. Leanne has post graduate qualifications from Curtin University in Continence and Women’s Health. Additionally, she participates in research and has published in peer reviewed journals.

Leanne is an experienced and highly qualified physiotherapist who has worked extensively in private practice as a musculoskeletal and pelvic health physiotherapist. She has worked with gynaecologists and obstetricians as well as working in a large multidisciplinary women’s health hospital. She strongly believes in a comprehensive approach to health care and strives to provide the best possible outcomes for her patients. Leanne also works closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure you achieve your goals in a timely manner.

Leanne has a special interest in pelvic health and has completed training in women’s health, pelvic floor rehabilitation, incontinence (bladder and bowel), pelvic pain (endometriosis, vulvovaginal pain, anal pain, pain with sex, genital pain), pelvic organ prolapse (including pessary fitting), pregnancy and postnatal complaints, children’s continence and pre and post prostatectomy care. Leanne also has experience and training in pelvic girdle pain, abdominal separation, headaches, dry needling, Pilates, lower back pain, mindfulness and chronic pain.

As a mother of 2, Leanne is very aware of the health issues that can arise in pregnancy and postnatally and the difficulties that come with balancing life as a mother. She also understands the mental and physical complexities that come with pelvic health complaints and is passionate about helping you achieve better overall health.
