Our care model is built around the internationally recognised Eight Dimensions of Wellness – a framework developed by Dr Peggy Swarbrick and endorsed by leading global health and wellbeing authorities.

our framework
for whole-person-health
and why it matters

The Eight Dimensions of Wellness recognises that wellbeing is not one-dimensional. True health, particularly veteran recovery and reintegration, depends on the connection between eight core dimensions: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, occupational, and financial.

This framework guides how our clinicians collaborate, how programs are designed, and how patients move through treatment. It connects every part of our interdisciplinary model, from medicine and psychology to physiotherapy, dietetics, and exercise physiology (EP), ensuring every patient receives care that’s connected, coordinated, and empowering.

For veterans, it’s the map that guides recovery and reintegration.

For all patients, it’s how we turn care into capability.

how the dimensions of wellness shape our model

Every GO2 Health clinician, from GPs and psychiatrists to nurses, EPs, physios, osteopaths, and dietitians, works within the Eight Dimensions of Wellness framework. It’s how we connect our care and how our interdisciplinary model works in practice.

It ensures that mental health is considered in physical recovery, that social connection supports pain management, and that spiritual balance underpins purpose and long-term wellbeing. It also means the environments we create, the work and routines we help people build, and the financial stability we support all contribute to lasting health outcomes. And it’s why veteran and civilian patients experience outcomes that last far beyond the treatment room.

The Eight Dimensions of Wellness come to life through our programs, people, and spaces. Each dimension connects and together, they create a treatment ecosystem where every clinician, treatment, and interaction plays a role in supporting whole-person health.

Physical wellness

Restoring strength, movement, and confidence — so patients can engage actively and independently in life.

Social wellness

Fostering belonging and community through shared movement and connection.

Spiritual wellness

Fostering meaning, inner peace, and presence — helping patients reconnect with values, purpose, and balance.

Environmental wellness

Creating healing environments that support comfort, safety, and calm — so the environment itself becomes therapeutic.

Emotional wellness

Building resilience, trust, and connection – supporting patients to feel seen, safe, and understood.

Intellectual wellness

Empowering learning and growth through education, curiosity, and self-mastery.

Occupational wellness

Supporting purpose and post-service identity through readiness and recovery.

Financial Wellness

Reducing stress by helping patients access entitlements, stability, and support.

physical wellness

Restoring strength, movement, and confidence — so patients can engage actively and independently in life.

Our care model rebuilds physical wellness as part of a broader, whole-person journey. From early intervention to long-term maintenance, veterans receive coordinated care that strengthens the body while supporting mental and emotional wellbeing.

social wellness

Fostering belonging and community through shared movement and connection

We recognise that wellbeing is seldom achieved in isolation. Our model creates space for real human connection.

Spiritual wellness

Fostering meaning, inner peace, and presence — helping patients reconnect with values, purpose, and balance.

Spiritual wellness is about alignment, calm, and inner clarity because when the mind, body, and spirit are aligned, healing becomes deeper and more enduring.

Environmental wellness

Creating healing environments that support comfort, safety, and calm — so the environment itself becomes therapeutic.

We shape our physical and community environments to help patients feel safe, supported and able to heal.

Emotional wellness

Building resilience, trust, and connection – supporting patients to feel seen, safe, and understood.

Emotional wellness is at the core of how we engage with every patient. Whether someone is dealing with chronic pain, life transitions, trauma, or everyday stresses, our team listens, supports, and enables healing.

Intellectual wellness

Empowering learning and growth through education, curiosity, and self-mastery.

We help patients understand themselves, their health, and their future with intellectual wellness key to how we empower people to move forward.

Occupational wellness

Supporting purpose and post-service identity through readiness and recovery.

We help people re-engage with work, learning, volunteer, and community roles that align with their goals and abilities.

Financial wellness

Reducing stress by helping patients access entitlements, stability, and support.

We recognise that financial security underpins health and peace of mind. Practical support is built into our care.
