Ellyse brings diverse professional experience as a psychologist, having worked across acute mental health services, schools, disability support, occupational rehabilitation and private practice. This broad background gives her a deep understanding of the unique challenges individuals face in various life contexts.
With a warm, compassionate approach, Ellyse creates an inclusive therapeutic space for all clients. She has a particular passion for supporting neurodiverse, culturally diverse and LGBTQIA+ individuals, ensuring her practice is both inclusive and affirming of their experiences. She draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), while integrating Positive Psychology, mindfulness and relaxation strategies to support emotional regulation and overall wellbeing.
Ellyse believes in promoting mental wellbeing through personalised, person-centred support and sees the mind-body connection as fundamental to personal growth. Her close ties to the defence community have given her particular insight into the unique challenges faced by service members and their families.
