Gordon is an AHPRA-endorsed Health Psychologist with a particular focus on supporting people navigating mental health challenges, chronic illness, persistent pain, cancer and other health conditions. He is passionate about veteran care and helping people adjust when they are faced with significant changes in their lives. He offers sessions in English and Cantonese for clients who prefer to work in their first language.
With six years of experience across community health, hospital, and oncology settings, Gordon takes a warm, collaborative approach that helps people feel genuinely heard, not simply assessed. He draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build practical coping skills alongside deeper insight. These modalities shape a strengths-based, trauma-informed style of therapy, grounded in the belief that most answers and resources already lie within the individual.
Gordon has extensive experience working with grief, identity, and existential questions that often surface during serious illness, and with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds navigating family expectations alongside their own mental well-being.
He is committed to helping clients move through difficult chapters with clarity and self-compassion, toward a life that feels more workable and aligned with what matters to them.
