Lauren Charles is a Registered Psychologist offering evidence based psychological support to children, adolescents, and adults. With over 19 years of experience working across education and mental health settings in Brisbane, Darwin, Katherine, and remote Northern Territory communities, she brings a broad and contextual understanding to her work. This breadth of experience enables her to support clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns.
Lauren draws on a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches, commonly integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and narrative approaches. Her work is tailored to each person’s needs and presenting concerns, with a strong emphasis on collaborative goal setting, practical strategies, and the development of a supportive and respectful therapeutic relationship.
Lauren’s approach is calm and client centred, with a strong focus on ethical practice and clear communication. She works with clients to build insight, resilience, and effective coping strategies that can be applied within everyday life.
Outside of her clinical work, Lauren is committed to wildlife care and is known to approach most home DIY projects with enthusiasm — and varying degrees of success.
