Professional Background
Jess completed her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast.Jess completed her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
She began her career in the health industry as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, commencing at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, providing clinical care in a Mental Health facility. Jess developed a passion for patient advocacy and recovery facilitation and decided to further her career by studying her Bachelor of Nursing.
Like many nurses during COVID, she participated in COVID vaccination clinics. She then ventured out to Southwest Queensland for a 12-month period working as a Registered Nurse before returning to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Jess has a keen interest in engaging with patients on a more personal level, which she can achieve in the General Practice Setting. She enjoys building strong therapeutic relationships with her patients to facilitate person centred care. Jess has is interested in all aspects of nursing however really enjoys wound care, Paediatric Nursing, childhood immunisations and management of complex conditions.
When Jess is away from work, she can be found either restaurant hopping, watching the footy or going to live games. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family or even binging a good movie or tv show!
