Nick Lea

Osteopathy

Professional Background

Nick completed a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. He was drawn to Osteopathy after previously working in the mining industry in New South Wales for 7 years and his strong passion for health, sport and exercise.

He moved up to Brisbane after practising Osteopathy in his hometown in NSW. While in Brisbane he worked as an onsite health provider, seeing a variety of occupational injuries, with a main focus on the shoulder, elbow, neck, upper back and repetitive strain injuries. This in turn allowed his patients to stay healthy while at work.

Nick takes a biopsychosocial approach and will work with his patients to create an individualised treatment plan that uses soft tissue massage, dry needling, HVLA and MET.

Nick feels that people have the ability to help themselves with common injuries and enjoys educating patients on their pain and how to take control of their injuries. He believes in empowering each patient to play an active role in their recovery by understanding how simple stretches, mobility and stability exercises can improve the long-term effects of a patient’s outcome.
