Integrated veteran care: closing the gaps and building what works

Integrated veteran care: closing the gaps and building what works

Why connected care works and what it means for veterans

Across Australia, veterans are navigating a healthcare environment marked by change and uncertainty. In this landscape, what matters most is ensuring veterans receive clear, coordinated clinical care and administrative support from teams they trust. At GO2 Health and REFORGE, our role is simple and unwavering: to provide evidence-based treatment through a coordinated, interdisciplinary model built around veterans, not systems.

For too long, veterans have been asked to rebuild their health within structures that were not designed with their lived experience in mind. Appointments become isolated. Care becomes fragmented. The burden of coordinating recovery falls on the patient — exactly when support should be strongest.

Our model exists to change this.

Every GP, psychologist, nurse and allied health clinician within GO2 Health and REFORGE works together within an integrated framework that ensures each veteran’s physical, psychological and social health is understood as a whole. This approach is designed to deliver:

  • Coordinated treatment, not disconnected appointments
  • A complete view of each veteran’s needs, not siloed snapshots
  • Long-term support, not short-term interventions
  • Clear assistance with the medical administration required for veterans’ mental health and physical claims, including assessments, documentation and guidance throughout the process

Our commitment is steady. We are fully open and ready to treat, with aligned teams and a clear purpose: to deliver the care veterans need.

We also continue to support veterans with their mental health and physical claims by helping them prepare the necessary medical assessments, reports and documentation, and by guiding them through the process.

At GO2 Health and throughout REFORGE, we remain here for the veteran community and those who advocate alongside them. Every day, our team continues delivering care that is consistent, connected and grounded in evidence, ensuring veterans receive not just treatment but a pathway forward.
