GO2 Health’s Commitment to Ethical Veteran-Centred Care in a Time of “Bad Actors”

GO2 Health’s Commitment to Ethical Veteran-Centred Care in a Time of “Bad Actors”

GO2 Health welcomes the Federal Government’s announcement of a crackdown on fraudulent practices within the veterans’ support and healthcare system.

As an organisation, we strongly agree that protecting veterans from exploitation must remain a priority. The integrity of the DVA system is critical, not only to ensure taxpayer funds are used appropriately, but more importantly, to ensure veterans receive the right support, from the right professionals, at the right time.

This announcement sits within a broader Federal reform agenda focused on improving veteran wellbeing through early intervention, access to evidence-based treatment, and stronger safeguards against exploitation. Informed by the findings of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide, this direction reinforces the importance of ethical, transparent, and treatment-first care.

At GO2 Health, our philosophy has always been simple: treatment is paramount to recovery, and the right claims lead to the right care team.

Our approach is measured, ethical, and veteran-centred. Claims should reflect genuine service-related conditions, supported by clinical evidence, and aligned with the care a veteran needs to recover and function in everyday life.

We guide and support veterans through the process; we do not exploit it.

We believe that ethical practice, transparency, and genuine care are non-negotiable when working with veterans.

GO2 Health does not take a percentage of any DVA compensation, and never will. We believe veterans should not lose part of their long-term entitlements in exchange for support in navigating the system.

In some circumstances, a small out-of-pocket doctor’s fee may apply. This is not profit-driven and has recently arisen due to changes in Medicare billing arrangements. These costs relate directly to clinical assessments and care, not to maximise a claim.

At GO2 Health, our focus remains where it has always been:

We believe that ethical practice, transparency, and genuine care are non-negotiable for all patients. GO2 Health supports any initiative that removes bad actors from the system and restores trust for those who truly need help.
