Professional Background
Lillian completed her Bachelor in nursing from QUT. She soon discovered her niche in primary health care, working with health providers elite in their field from skin cancer care, general surgery, family planning and public health. Lillian has a calm and empathetic demeanour, motivated by a belief in the importance of Hauora (the four cornerstones of health and wellbeing). Lillian is passionate about applying this model of care in combination with best practice, when supporting peers and patients in reaching their optimal level of health.
Lillian began her career in the health industry by firstly graduating as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, providing clinical support services for people living with dementia. Her nursing endeavours led to work in a fast paced hospital environment back when paper charts were as common as paracetamol. Lillian primarily worked in the General Surgical Department, advocating for patients post operatively, delivering clinical care and providing education to facilitate their recovery journey.
Chronic disease management is one special interest derived from several years in the role of planning, implementing, reviewing and improving personalised care plans that fit with the lifestyle of individuals. Lillian has worked with a diverse population of individuals and takes a holistic approach in care planning. She is grateful to be in a compassionate role where she can see patients succeed in their wellness journey.
